While away camping this past weekend, we took a trip to the Frank Slide area. Quite an interesting place to visit. Hard to imagine a whole mountain coming down on top of an entire town. Some of the information said the rocks came as fast as 120km per hour. Amazing! It was quite hot walking through the rock area. For Sarah's sake who can't wear sunscreen yet, we didn't stay too long.

I agree! I wish we could have been part of those photos. In a week we will be. Can't wait!
So many kids in that picture. I feel like they're on me...
I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with Frank Slide...I ended up there against my will on my 14th (or was it 13th?) birthday and had to listen to some lady over-dramatize not the slide, but the mining disaster that happened there before the big slide. I feel like an angsty teenager again just thinking about it.
