Today is a good day! A day to celebrate all the blessings in my life. I have so much to be thankful for. I have been praying for something for a long time. God has heard my prayers and I am so thankful.

One year ago Chris was offered an exciting job opportunity that we really couldn't say no to. The only flaw in my mind was that it required moving so far away. But I really felt all along that I couldn't say no. I had to be open to this opportunity and walk through the door God had opened for us. I wasn't happy about it. In fact I tired my best NOT to think about this move. But I boarded a plane with my 3 kids and 2 dogs and off I went to discover what was in store for me.

We have only been here for 8 months. I thought I would hate it. I don't. It is different and different takes some time to get used to and I was willing to try. There are many things to like about being here. Things that I will actually miss when we leave. 8 months into this experience and I feel like I learned a lot. I also know that the new door God is opening for us wouldn't have been possible if we had not taken that first step and moved out here. I guess it is about faith and trusting. God really does know better than me! I say that because isn't it our human nature to try to tell God what we think is best for us? At least that is what I tried to do. I had a list of reasons as to why we shouldn't move....but had I not trusted and not had faith I would have missed out on so much this year. And the new job opportunity for Chris would never have happened! The new job that his company is creating for him in CALGARY!!! Still some details to sort out! I am soooooooooo thankful! I am so excited! What a great company he works for and what a caring boss to come up with all of this!

First Bike Ride!

Jacob got a new bike this year. He had outgrown his old one. He was very excited there was a Star Wars Bike in his size! Couldn't have made that boy any happier! Nathan will now get Jacob's bike. Anyone wanting a cute 12 inch bike? Green. Not used too much because we couldn't convince Nathan to ride it last year! He's keen this year though! He ended up riding in the trailer because Jacob's old bike didn't have the training wheels on it yet and the green bike is way too small. So lets just say I gotta good work out pulling the two kids around!!

I think they outgrew their helmets. They look too small!

I didn't think Sarah would wear who helmet. She seemed fine with it. She loved riding in the trailer. Her helmet looks huge! It reminds me of a certain trip to a go cart place way back when...and we had a Great Gazoo then too!(sp?) Anyone remember?

Ten things all about me....Hmmmmm.....

1. I wanted to be a wrestler when I grew up, but I am glad I didn’t follow that dream! I became a teacher and I LOVE being a teacher!

2. It might surprise some of you to know that I am actually glad we moved to Ontario and experienced all we have. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to move home, just that I have enjoyed many parts of it and it has been a good learning experience.

3. I would like to take some photography classes one day. I am passionate about pictures and love taking them. I want to learn more and try out more things in this area. Probably why I also love to scrapbook!

4. I love reading BLOGS! I have many that I check out regularly!

5. I am such a night owl! I am so much more productive and creative at this time. Could it be that it just also happens to be when everyone else in the family is sleeping??? No seriously, I love staying up late.

6. I don’t like being late, although it does sometimes happen.

7. I need to get out of the house, whether it is to grocery shop, a walk, going and doing something as a family. I like to go and do things kids in tow!

8. I love to shop! The shopping is even more fun when I find good deals.

9. I love to travel. Mexico was our last trip and it was WONDERFUL! In April we are off to a “work” trip for Chris in Maui. I am excited about going, but I have to leave the kids behind.:(

10. I love to organize things. I seem to spend a lot of time doing that just so some certain little people in my house can, “reorganize” for me.

All of that being said... I love my family and friends! I am so grateful for them!
Kirsten made me do this. So now if you have a blog tell me ten things about yourself. If you don't have a blog leave a message and share one thing about yourself.

Sarah loves the dishwasher!

Checking it out. Every time I load it up or unload it I have a happy little helper! I don't mind!

But today was a little different. She really wanted to check things out!

At least it was a clean dishwasher! We have a climber! Could be an interesting time in our house now. She will be keeping us very busy. I can not believe that in less than a month she will be ONE years old! The boys will have to stop telling people who ask how old she is, that she is zero.

New Spring Dress!

Soooooo cute!

She was supposed to let go so you could see her standing!

Girls like cars too!

Sarah Eleven Months!

So now she has taken now 4-5 steps in a row and seems to keep on trying! Soon there will be no stopping this girl! She looks way to little to be up walking around! She was 11 months on the 17th. I don't have new pics yet...I waited for a sale to get them taken so later in the week I should have some new ones of her!

I did weigh her this week though and she weighs 16lbs and 10 oz. So little!

She can wave bye. Some new words are uh oh, no, and all done or (ah do as she does it).

She can climb the stairs all the way to the top! We now make sure the gate is up and constantly check on it!

My quiet baby is a little more vocal now. It is neat to see her changing from a baby to a little girl.

Jacob had an interesting week....more on that later. I really need to download some pictures!

Okay... so the airlines that broke my new stroller is replacing it!!!

Actually sending me money to purchase another one. But do I buy the same stroller?

Sarah is only 16 lbs and the car seat that came with that stroller is good until 30 lbs. I love the handy attachable car seat. But she really won't be in it past next October when she would have to wear a winter coat (But she could be weight wise and size wise even with a winter jacket). So do I buy the stroller and car seat set or just a new stroller and save the cash left over? To buy this stroller set is $399 plus tax. To buy just a new stroller and no car seat...about $200 plus tax. I was just going to replace exactly what I lost until my HUSBAND went and made me think about it some more. Or should I say agonize over it!

So anyone who reads this please comment and tell me what you think.

Thanks!
Karri

In honour of my birthday I changed up the backgrounds! Looking forward to dinner out with the family! We started celebrating tonight with chocolate covered strawberries that I made! Mmmmmm good!

Hope you all have a Great St Patrick's Day!

Who put Sarah in the tub!!!

Jacob was having a bath by himself at Nannie's house. I then heard some giggling and laughing and a certain Nannie put Sarah in the tub with her big brother!! Jacob thought that was pretty funny! And Sarah just loves being in the bath tub! She didn't stay for too long, we washed her up quick and she came right out. But the pictures were cute!

Visiting the Calgary Tower!

On the glass floor looking around.

Wonder what she thought about all of that!
Nannie and the boys!

I came out to Calgary because the word on my Dad was not good. I had to take all three of the kids because it happened to be at the same time Chris was VERY busy at work. So off we went. Thankfully, Westjet had some seat sales helping to make this trip possible! My Dad had a stroke they think, but he is doing much better. He still struggles with some ongoing health issues but I am happy to say that I had quite a few good visits with him. Thanks for all the prayers!
I decided to take the kids and Nannie to the Calgary Tower. Everyone had a great time. I think my Mom said it had been 20 years since she had been up to the tower. We also ate at the restaurant and she had said it had been a long, long, long, time since she had eaten out somewhere. She enjoyed the meal and the time with the kids. Since we moved so far away...anytime with the kids is special.

Sarah is Ten Months Old!

Sarah Lynn 9 Months! Sarah Lynn 10 Months! She loves both teams!

Sarah is walking around things and standing up where ever she can. She has even attempted the stairs. She loves helping me with the dishes in the dishwasher and is crawling around the house very fast. She loves playing with her school bus and little people farm. She likes cars too. Her front teeth have taken a long time to cut through. The one cut through last month and number two is finally cut all the way through this week. So in a few weeks we should have a new smile on our hands!
I weighed her on the 17th and she weighed 16 lbs. 7 oz. She is small but soooooo cute! She is full of life and it is fun to watch her play with the boys. They love her so much and are great big brothers. Jacob likes to rescue her and Nathan likes to make her laugh.
She loves to eat mandarin oranges, bananas, and will pretty much try anything. She has tasted ice cream this month and loves it. She also had her first chocolate chip cookie. Spoiled girl, the boys never had any of this stuff so early! She loves the noodles from my chicken noodle soup. So many food firsts this month.
She is a fun baby. I love that she wants to be with Mommy! I love watching her play like a little girl does. I love shoe shopping for her! The girl has a better selection than I do! And the Easter dresses....I am having a hard time narrowing it down.
We came to Calgary this last week knowing that my Dad was unwell. I travelled with the three kids and they were awesome. People commented that they didn't even know I had three kids with me. I hope they are just as good on the way back! Anyway, the kids have had lots of Nannie time. Every morning Jacob and Nannie do the puzzle together. He loves word searches and is getting really good at them. She loves to do it with him too! I think she will miss their morning activity together. They are all going to miss Nannie when we have to go back to Waterloo.
The boys have really enjoyed seeing all of their friends! Of course I have loved every minute of it too! It has been good for the soul. My friends in Calgary....thanks for taking such good care of all of us. Thanks for picking us up and taking us to the airport. Thanks for lending us the van!!! That was a HUGE help! Thanks for all the yummy dinners and play dates! I am blessed to have such great people in my life!
As for my Dad. Well it was really nice for me to get too see him and know who I was. He has good days and bad days, but at least I got to see him on a few of his good days. Considering...our family was told he might not make it through the week he is doing much better. Thanks for all your prayers.
